Hi Walt; I have just returned from Maldon in the Victorian Goldfields having spent two very interesting days learning the Golf Fields prog which you gave me, I had the sens turned down to 75 and the machine was very stable and let me know when there was something in the ground.I used a small piece of my wifes jewellery as a test piece and it found it very easily everytime I buried I. I found a 5 cent piece, very small nails, Rivets. tin, Pieces of Iron machinery but sadly NO GOLD. however the area where we were searching produced a lot of Gold in the early days so maybe on another occasion I might get lucky, I have no doubt that the machine is capable of finding the precious metal it is left to the detectorist to squeeze it out of the ground,I shall return at Xmas time but with the addition of a piece of Khaki Muslin to keep the flies away as they were more than friendly.oneill
