Re: X/Y Screen

I can't answer your question technically, but I seem to remember the graphic representation of a target can be influenced by both the software selection (program settings) as well as coil size. That said, in an environment with no trash, iron or other debris, I don't think any round, solid coin target's xy representation would be so greatly influenced by program settings/coil size that it would display as junk. On the other hand, if the coin is among debris, I can imagine that inappropriate software settings for the conditions might be enough to confuse the Deus' ability to properly identify the target via the xy screen. If, for example, you're operating in a high trash area using reactivity 1 and come across a clad dime at 4 inches, any co-located debris should be enough to influence the xy graph negatively (erratic xy line). However, if you're using reactivity 3 on the same dime/debris, I would expect the xy graph (line) to be much more representative of what's under the coil by reflecting a straight line while over the dime. Bottomline, if you can isolate a coin among trash with better software settings, then the xy screen will better represent the coin.
